You will be listening and reading about Principles of American Government on Khan Academy and there will be questions you need to write down and answer. You will turn your written questions and answers in to the substitute at the end of class (regardless of whether or not you finish).
The silver button below labeled "Khan Academy: Principles of Gov" will take you to the Khan Academy web pages you will need to access to complete this assignment.
When you click the button and arrive at Khan Academy, you will find a menu in the left toolbar. There are 7 sections you will work through. For each section, watch the videos, read the information, and write down the questions.

Assignment 1
There have been many publications regarding American core values. Below is a link to "Values in American Culture". Please read over the values with a partner and discuss what they mean. After discussing with a partner, please write your answers to the following questions (A, B ,and C) on a piece of paper and turn it in to the substitute.

Assignment 2
Once you turn in Assignment 1, you need to get a blank piece of copier paper for this project. Blank paper can be found on top of the paper trays on the table at the front of the classroom. You will research a country’s government system of your choice and create an informative brochure. The chart below details what you should include in each part of your brochure.
